East Tennessee Bed and Breakfasts
East Tennessee Bed and Breakfasts are full of history, beautiful architecture, charm, southern hospitality and down-home cooking. Following are some great ones, by area.
East Tennessee Bed and Breakfasts: Downtown Knoxville
When you're looking for a Knoxville, Tennessee bed and breakfast and want a convenient location, it makes sense to start with downtown Knoxville.
The Maplehurst Inn Bed and Breakfast: This 1918 single family home in historic downtown Knoxville with a view of the Tennessee River was converted into a B&B in 1982 for the World's Fair. This is a favorite spot for Vols fans on game weekends.
The Brimer House Inn is a 1909 Neoclassical home in historic Old North Knoxville. Less than one mile from downtown, with period decor, private baths, and more. Beautifully renovated, this is a sure pleaser for people who appreciate old architecture and southern hospitality.
East Tennessee Bed and Breakfasts: Maryville
Maryville is a beautiful little town 20 minutes south of Knoxville, in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, just past the airport.
Butterfly Gap Retreat is filled with modern, unique architecture, breath-taking views of mountains and water, and a relaxing, romantic, adults-only atmosphere. Prices range from $195/night to $250/night.
East Tennessee Bed and Breakfasts: Kingston
Kingston is a scenic small town on the Clinch River about 40 minutes West of Knoxville. I grew up here, and recommend it to anyone looking for water sports or fishing away from the crowds. In the classic sense of the term, Kingston offers the best of what one expects from a great bed and breakfasts.
Woodland Cove Bed and Breakfast is located in the rolling, wooded hills above the Watts Bar lake. Enjoy water activities, a large screened-in porch with a view of the water, and rates from $110-150.
Whitestone Country Inn is a AAA 4-diamond resort that is also located on Watts Bar lake in Kingston -- on 360 acres, with 8 miles of trails, horse-drawn carriage rides, a chapel for weddings, and much more. Rates are from $150-330 per evening. My best friend's wedding was here. I couldn't recommend it enough for its beautiful views, amenities, and friendly Mom & Pop vibe.
East Tennessee Bed and Breakfasts: Townsend
Townsend, Tennessee is about 40 minutes from Knoxville, just past Maryville. This little town is in the middle of the less-comercial part of the Smoky Mountains, and boasts some breath-taking views. East Tennessee Bed and Breakfast searchers with a taste for the mountains are highly recommended to look here.
Gracehill B&B claims to be the highest residence in Townsend. It certainly has some amazing views, luxurious accommodations, and is just minutes from Cade's Cove.
Richmont Inn has been named among the top 20 B&B's in the nation. The luxurious antique decorations, excellent food, and beautiful vistas of Richmont are sure to please the discerning B&B fan.
